Survey for Educators in the Fitzroy region

Fitzroy Basin Association’s Flow program helps raise community environmental awareness. Our Flow program tells an important story of our region’s natural assets, and why and how to protect them. Flow facilitates excursions, school incursions and online resources, and the Flow Centre can be used by educators as an interactive educational resource.

Answers to an Educators survey are being analysed and will help guide the future development of FBA’s Flow program including the centre, Flow events and associated resources so they better support regional teachers and students to learn about, engage with, explain and care for the Fitzroy region.

The survey closed midnight 20 November, 2022.

In appreciation for completing the survey, participants were asked to nominate their preferred School/Centre/Home-School, for the chance to win one of 15, $100 online vouchers for Science Supply Australia. Winners will be announced shortly. For more details, please read the About the Survey and Eligibility conditions and Privacy and confidentiality statements below.

This survey aims to gather feedback from educators within the Fitzroy region regarding how the Flow program could best support educational needs whilst also facilitating greater understanding and care for our natural environment. Upon completion of the survey, participants can nominate their preferred school to be entered into two lucky draw categories for a chance to WIN a $100 voucher for online store Science Supply Australia. The two lucky draw prize categories will provide one prize per local council area* and one prize per year level group**.

*If you have selected more than one local council area in which you work within, the lucky draw nomination will be placed in the local council area of the school in which you nominate at the conclusion of the survey.

**For this survey, year level groups have been specified as: Early childhood; Lower primary (prep – year 3); upper primary (year 4-6); lower secondary (year 7-9); upper secondary (year 10-12)

To be eligible to complete the survey, educators must:

  • Teach within the Fitzroy region area – refer to the Fitzroy Region map
  • Teach at a school/centre/home recognised by the Queensland Government

Only fully completed surveys will be to be entered into the lucky draws. Surveys completed more than once by the same person will not result in additional entries. Each survey participant will only receive one entry into each of the two relevant prize draw categories.

Winners will be contacted using the contact details provided, and announced on the FBA Facebook page and Flow noticeboard.

All draws are final and no negotiations will be entered into regarding the winners. Prizes are not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash. If a prize is not claimed or entrants are uncontactable for 14 days they will be redrawn.

All responses provided will remain completely anonymous, any personal details will remain confidential, and the collected data will be stored securely. FBA complies with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Privacy Amendment Act 2012 and stores all information on a designated and password-protected, local server.
