NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia in the first week of July each year. In central Queensland, the celebrations are still going throughout September!
NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
A range of community events and activities are still to come across the region, check them out below:
Saturday 19 September
Woppaburra Welcoming of the Whales
8.30 am to 4 pm at Putney Beach, Woppa
Places aboard the vessel are now booked out, but people with their own boat can still travel out and join the celebration.
