Livestock Business Resilience & Grazing Resilience and Sustainable Solutions (GRASS) Workshop
How resilient is your business? Drought and hard times are a reality for primary producers. Department of Agriculture and Fisheries & Fitzroy Basin Association invite you to join us for an interactive workshop to improve the resilience of your grazing enterprise, through developing a business plan & an Action Plan for Land Management (APLM).
This free workshop will cover:
• Evaluating the risks to your business
• Developing and documenting ways to mitigate risks
• Best management practice and innovations in grazing – be compliant with the REEF regs.
• Steps to developing your Business Plan
• Grants and loans currently available through QRIDA
• Practical soil demonstration
Come along and meet fellow producers from your region, share ideas and talk all things grazing.
The Business Resilience part of the workshop will be conducted in the morning for businesses who have already participated in GRASS to finish at lunch if they wish to leave. Please note that DAF will be conducting the Business Resilience component & FBA will be conducting the GRASS component which includes a property inspection for the completion of an APLM.
Workshops will run from 8:00am (for an 8:30am start) to 4:00pm, with morning tea and lunch provided.
