Erosion Management Info Session

Erosion can strip land of valuable topsoil, decreasing productivity and creating gullies. This info session will help land managers in central Queensland prevent and heal erosion on their land. Explore what others have done on their CQ properties to repair waterway erosion and access expert advice, strategies and solutions from a soil conservation experts.

John Day
SENIOR SOIL CONSERVATION OFFICER
John has helped many CQ land managers heal their eroding land. He is an agronomist and soil conservation expert with many years of experience working throughout Queensland in cropping, grazing and horticulture.

Ross Newman
PASTURE AGRONOMIST
Ross will be adressing how you can optimize your pastures to reduce soil loss and sediment run-off. Born in Rockhampton, Ross has worked with tropical and subtropical pasture system agronomy for the past two decades. Ross has a wealth of experience surrounding pasture productivity, management, and identifying potential solutions to commonly occurring problems.

Braden Mitchell
FBA LAND MANAGEMENT OFFICER
Braden is FBA’s Waterways Management Officer. With several years of industry experience Braden has a vast knowledge of water quality management, erosion management, riparian restoration and safety. Braden leads many waterway erosion control projects at FBA and is passionate about finding productive, cost-effective solutions.
