Drain Buddies installed across Yeppoon, Gladstone and Rockhampton
Humans are responsible for 100% of marine debris, and locally, we are about to get a better insight into the waste habits of three of CQ’s largest towns, thanks to a Local Action Community Reef Protection grant for Drain Buddies to be installed at key locations across Yeppoon, Gladstone and Rockhampton.

Grant applications are now open for the 2020 Science and Innovation Awards for Young People in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. If you’re 18-35 and want to make a difference in agriculture, this is your chance to apply for a grant of up to $22,000 to fund your project that will benefit Australia’s primary industries.

Are feral pigs and/or wild dogs a problem on your property?
If so, come along to our two-day workshops on humane and safe ways to trap and control wild dogs and pigs in Clermont, Dingo and Theodore.

Industry experts Darren Pointon and Jordy Oostrom will be teaching attendees how to bait, trap, make a lure, conduct an autopsy, and maintain equipment.
