Capricorn Coast Community Action Plan launched

A bold collaboration between Fitzroy Basin Association (FBA) and Capricornia Catchments has generated a unique Community Action Plan (CAP) for the Capricorn Coast certain to garner engagement from key groups and the community at large.

A big reef requires thinking big and the CAP, as envisaged by Capricorn Coast community members, seeks to support action at a Reef-wide scale for the protection and resilience of the World Heritage Area.

The passionate and creative Capricorn Coast community have developed eight project concepts. All concepts relate to the objectives of a range of local, regional and Reef-wide strategies and include collaborative steps towards a better regional future.

Capricornia Catchments and FBA are proud to launch the online platform. Explore our region’s project concepts now or reach out to learn how you can get involved!

The Capricorn Coast Reef Community Action Plan project is funded by the partnership between the Australian Government’s Reef Trust and the Great Barrier Reef Foundation with support from Capricornia Catchments and Fitzroy Basin Association.
