World Wetlands Day
World Wetlands Day is celebrated internationally each year on 2 February. It marks the anniversary of the signing of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance also known as the Ramsar Convention. We are lucky to have the fourth largest Ramsar wetland site right here in our region (Shoalwater and Corio Bays).
The theme for this year’s World Wetlands Day is ‘wetlands and climate change’. To learn more about this important day visit the Australian Government’s website.
