Seeking Rockhampton Reef Heroes – Volunteer Opportunity
We’ve caught rubbish entering our drains, now we need the community’s help to sort and record it!
What’s down our drains is downright interesting!
By understanding what rubbish goes down our drains we can stop it at its source!
Join us and…
- Help improve the health of the reef
- Learn more about local waste reduction initiatives
- Improve the cleanliness of your town
- Give marine animals (like turtles and birds) a better chance at survival!
Let’s stop this going down our drains by working together!
When: Tues, 23 March 2021 | 8:00am – 12:00 noon
Where: 80 East St, Rockhampton (corner of East & Denham Streets)
What to wear: closed-in shoes, ideally long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. Gloves provided
BYO: water bottle, own gloves if preferred}
A light morning tea is provided
