Celebrating NAIDOC Week
Posted on November 10th, 2020
The Fitzroy Region encompasses the traditional lands of many first nation groups and is home to many culturally significant places.
From a natural resource perspective, Aboriginal People have demonstrated that sustainability is possible. They have cared for land and sea country for tens of thousands of years and it is due to their custodianship that our region has the wealth of natural resources, species and special places.
The 2020 NAIDOC week theme is Always was, always will be. To honour this theme, NAIDOC week and traditional custodians we wish to highlight some educational and enlighting resources.
