The Fitzroy Region encompasses the traditional lands of many groups. Each group has its own unique Aboriginal lore and traditions, and continues connections with land, family and culture.

There are many special places in the region, and we request you respect the wishes and guidance of Traditional Owners when visiting, photographing and walking around cultural sites.
