This workshop aims to build landholders’ knowledge of the vital role that healthy brigalow ecosystems play in productive and resilient grazing systems. By highlighting the environmental and economic benefits of well-managed brigalow, we hope to support more informed land management decisions.

Meet Your Speaker

Dr Craig Thornton

Craig is a Senior Scientist with the Queensland Government’s Department of Environment, Tourism, Science, and Innovation and leads the Brigalow Catchment Study. This study was established to quantify the impact of land development for agriculture on hydrology, productivity, and resource condition. Craig enjoys sharing the knowledge generated from this ongoing study to help guide agricultural best management practice towards long-term sustainability.
